What is Off the Grid?

Off the Grid means that we are not connected to any main power grid. We are completely self sufficient and self sustained. We use Solar Panels for electricity, a grey water filtration system to water the garden, and a leave no trace policy. If you have never experienced a green vacation this is your spot.

The Full Harvest Moon (in the Northern Hemisphere) is the full moon that occurs closest to the Autumn Equinox (Sep 22 2008 PST), and this year rises the evening of September 14th,2008 PST. In three out of four years, the Harvest Moon happens in September, but in some years it occurs in October. At this peak of harvest, farmers can work later into the night by the light of this moon, as this moon also sets at much briefer intervals during this particular path on the earth’s ecliptic.
